Michael J. Brabo, CPA is Managing Partner and Founder of Brabo & Carlsen, LLP. Mr. Brabo specializes in providing privately held and family owned businesses with accounting, tax, consulting, forensic, estate, and professional trustee services.
A graduate of California State Polytechnic University at Pomona, California with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration, Mr. Brabo is a CPA and is registered with the State of California as a Professional Trustee. Mr. Brabo is on the Board of Directors of the Coachella Valley Housing Coalition and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, California Society of Certified Public Accountants, Building Industry Association – Desert Chapter, and Desert Contractor’s Association.

Wayne E. Carlsen, CPA is Partner and Co-founder of Brabo & Carlsen, LLP. Mr. Carlsen is a CPA who specializes in auditing and tax planning. Mr. Carlsen’s areas of expertise range the for-profit and non-profit sectors with a concentration in country clubs, common interest realty associations [i.e., Condominium and Homeowners’ Associations (HOAs), and Cooperative Housing], other non-profit organizations, and the construction industry. His experience also includes auditing employee benefit/401K plans. Mr. Carlsen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, California Society of Certified Public Accountants, Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Desert Hospitality Accounting Association. He is also a member and Past Treasurer and Board Member of the Community Associations Institute, where he has spoken on a number of topics, and is currently Treasurer for the Tuscany Homeowners’ Association.
